Mark Linkous joined Thompson Insurance in 1997 working under his father-in-law, and has owned the agency since 1998. In 1999, Mark bought Roger Glass Insurance, and Glass Thompson Insurance was born. Today, Mark continues to oversee all of the agency's operations. His favorite part of working with Glass Thompson is the relationships that he has developed through the agency both with his clients and his coworkers.

 

He has two children, John and Laura, and in his free time Mark loves cycling and following politics. Mark is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture and grew up in Wolfe County near the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park.

John Ray Ford joined Glass Thompson in 2006 after working for Dallas Cavanah and Paul Shade for eleven years. He handles home and farm policies, and serves as our claim manager. His favorite part about working in insurance is being able to give people peace of mind that if something happened, he would take care of them. John Ray walked with the first graduating class of Metcalfe County's current high school and went on to receive a degree in History and Business Management from Western Kentucky University.

 

John Ray now lives in Glasgow with his wife Kara Shive Ford and their son. He enjoys hiking with his family, running, and watching Kentucky basketball. In fact, John Ray has not missed a Kentucky basketball game since 1989 having watched, heard, or attended over nine hundred consecutive games.

Laura has been a resident of Metcalfe County for 11 years. She joined Glass Thompson Insurance in September of 2023 as a part-time accountant for the agency. 

 

Laura enjoys being outdoors, reading, writing, and being creative with digital designs. She is a mom of 3, owns her own business, and loves to organize in her spare time.
